Blue Crab Stoneware by Dovis Designs is produced and hand-painted in Thailand exclusively for Blue Crab Bay Co. The pottery is created under the artistic direction of Eastern Shore artisan Jose Dovis, who designed our Blue Crab Bay Co. logo in 1985. The factory where the products are made has won numerous awards for its positive work environment and community efforts. The stoneware is lead-free as well as microwave- and dishwasher-safe. It is also oven-safe to 400°F.
As each stoneware piece is individually hand painted, there will be slight variations in boldness and thickness of the design.
