Ingredients:

  • 1 deep dish 9-inch pie crust
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 2 teaspoon Herbs for Seafood
  • 1 to 2 teaspoon Chesapeake Bay Seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup grated Swiss cheese
  • 3/4 cup grated Muenster cheese
  • 1/2 lb fresh crabmeat (cleaned of shell)
  • Optional: roasted red peppers, asparagus tips, etc.

Directions:

Place pie crust in pie plate. Refrigerate until ready to bake (if crispier crust is desired, pre-bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees prior to adding ingredients). In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs, half and half and seasonings. Stir in cheese, then gently fold in crabmeat (add vegetables if desired). Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake at 375 degrees until center is set, about 40 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
